Cool thing about today? I took it off. Uncool thing? I’m finally getting my emissions inspection done so I can get current registration on my car. Of course it’s taking all damn day to get the inspection and then another couple of hours for them to fix whatever’s the problem. Not to mention the time it takes to “diagnose” the problem.
Then, of course, I have to spend the rest of my day at the DMV.
Still, being at work would be worse.
Anyways, I have a lil sumthin’ sumthin’ for you guys. I’d like to start doing 2 “gimmicks” that will call “Hot Gimmick Tuesday” & “Hot Gimmick Friday.” Friday’s will consist of a quiz I’ve taken a short little commentary on it. For Tuesday… Well I will announce that on Tuesday.

Now, I have to say I agree completely with the first and second sentences almost completely. While other people’s reactions might not change completely what I think & do, I always try to take other people’s input seriously and see if it is actually relevant. I don’t brush off things people say- especially when it comes to things about myself that might not be so desirable.
For the third sentence, it’s right- on up until the “pretty popular person” statement. I’m not popular. Never have been. Never will be. Don’t give 2 shits about that, though. As long as I have a few good friends I feel like I can rely on and be myself completely around, I’m good to go.
As for the last sentence…. I’m not sure. My dreams are pretty big. Thought I do set small & attainable goals for things in my immediate future. For example: my goal this week was to fix all my errors that I have waiting for corrections at work. Done. My other goal was to pay 150 invoices this week ( I work in accounts payable. FUN). I went quite a bit over that. My other goal was to work extra so I didn’t have to use so much vacation time for today. Only had to use 5.5 hours which is pretty good, I suppose.
