Well, I realise now that it’s virtually impossible for me to always pick some kind of arbitrary topic and write some deep, insightful discourse on it so I suppose reading about a random yet not entirely mundane detail of my life will have to suffice. Here goes…
Several weeks ago I ordered a new Polaroid camera from Lomography but it turned out they were sent the wrong ones. I replied to their emails asking if it was okay to send me a similar model saying that yes, it was fine. They gave me “points” which I can cash in for more film and sent the camera. I am extremely excited to announce the end of my time at my current job. I suppose I can’t announce the name of my employer as I still have to get through Friday before I am officially gone.
Why have I made the decision to quit now? Well, Monday starts the new semester and my parents, being ever surprising, have decided to pay for my classes this semester. I’m trying to talk them into paying for some summer classes as well as the fall at the moment (so I don’t have to take out loans until I transfer to a university from my community college). Also, I have finally paid off all my bills. All I have now are my car payments, car insurance, and cell phone. Of course I still have things like groceries, gas, and whatever my cat needs as well but I’ve completely paid off all my credit cards! It only took me 2 years (
) but I’m really excited. I also have quite a bit of money saved up so even if I don’t find a new job right away (though prospects are looking good at the moment), I can live off what I’ve saved for at least a month. Woo!
So, goodbye Southern Belle. Goodbye annoyingly incompetent coworkers. さようなら！
