Gael García Bernal
Sexy, huh? I just thought I’d put this up in honour of Hispanic Heritage Month. I had always thought it was entire month of September but now I see not. Gael is Mexican, by the way.
What I know of my family history is this: my grandma was born María Elena Juanita Gallegos (name is completely different now, btw) in a small town called Ortiz in Colorado. She didn’t learn to speak English until she was 7 (me until I was 3 but I’ve basically forgotten all Spanish I knew). My family came to America from Spain as Conquistadors in the 15th or 16th centuries. They had babies with Native Americans and possibly those from the region now known as Mexico who emigrated to the area now known as the Southwest in the US.
So, go to an authentic Latino restaurant to celebrate and as you eat your food, think on the sexiness that is Gael García Bernal.

Today is my birthday! I’m 24 now
Hello mid- 20s, goodbye early 20s!
What am I doing to celebrate? Not much. Yesterday was my brother-in-law’s 19th birthday. We both (apparently) want to see Ghost Town so Gael & I might be seeing that with him and his parents. (If not with them then by ourselves.) I’m excited. It looks funny!
Sunday I’m going to a local Chinese restaurant called Yen Cheng. Last time I went there for my birthday it was year of the Rabbit and they gave me some ceramic rabbits. I want to get some ceramic rats this year since it’s my zodiac year.
