So I thought I would announce that I have a new page up. It’s for scans of Japanese magazines. Please keep in mind that I only scan the covers; I’m far too lazy and distractable to scan the rest I’ll probably be formatting them more in the coming weeks to make them as cute as possible

I thought I’d mainly do a picture- post today. Check below the cut for them!

Chinese New Year 2009

Happy Chinese New Year! I hope everyone has some sort of little celebration planned. As for me? Today, I have to go harass the orthodontist I’ve been seeing lately. He’s been causing me a lot of problems with a retainer and night guard and I have to harass him to fix the stuff he (crappily) made and demand money back for the night guard he can’t seem to get right (long story, but I don’t think I even need it at all).

After that, I’m hoping to go to a local Asian restaurant that severs loads of different types of Asian foods. They have this delicious Thai duck dish that makes me so happy inside.

I’ll end this with a picture edited by Poladriod.net of a Chinese lantern my mom got me a few years ago when she was visiting with my step dad’s family on the northern part of the west coast.

So… updates… Andy got a call from his head hunter last Monday saying that the company was restructuring and going through the budget and has decided to close down a plant in one of the “I” states (Iowa or Idaho, can’t remember which ) & they have to offer the 2 positions that are open to the 2 people working in the I state. Apparently they’re middle- aged & settled down so the head hunter thinks it’s unlikely they’ll want to move. I’m a little skeptical. I mean, jobs are hard to come by. Are there more power plants in whatever state these guys live in that they can get another job at?

As pour moi, I have been sending out loads of résumés online. I can’t find it now, but last Friday MSN had an article on how my generation (“Generation Y” which are those of us from roughly the late 1970s to late 1980s) is getting laid off the most and is having the hardest time finding a job. What a downer

So, right now all we can do is wait it out (we should know by the end of January) and keep applying to jobs. Keep your fingers crossed for me that I can find something! Every day I’m supposed to go in, my boss tries to convince me not to. If I don’t though, I can’t pay my bills!
