A less controversial post today!
Maybe make you feel less uncomfortable by talking about my Jew-yness and fear of calories
I am, essentially speaking, 1/2 Jewish. This is purely ethnic, though- I was raised Episcopalian
Apparently I’m pretty damn Jewish, though ’cause all my life I’ve hated pork (though I have to admit I
pepperoni pizza!) and apparently I remind family members of my very Jewish great- grandmother. I also prefer to buy kosher goods but I’ve never been able to explain why… Also, Jewish friends from the time I was a kid up to present times have dubbed me their “honorary Jewish” friend
& before my nose job (partially reconstructive for my cleft & partially cosmetic) I had a giant Jew + Native American bump on my nose. Thank god that’s gone!
(Also, note the frizzy brown hair to stereotype, LOL)
Anyways
So today I was doing some grocery shopping and there’s a giant Jewish section there (there’s a pretty big Jewish community in Northern Virginia) & I was delighted to find they had some macaroons on sale! Add to this, they’re kosher & banana split- flavoured!
Remember how I used to do posts about going out on the weekends? I’d write these novellas on whatever debauchery I got into. Fun times!
Today I thought I’d write one of those posts! There wasn’t any debauchery, though. Just me getting insanely high and meeting some friends at a local “Irish pub” for a “girl’s night out.” I’ll post 3 pictures friend E took, too!

Sooo… since I’ve gotten married, I’ve felt like I can’t really go out. Especially without Andy. I guess ’cause I’m pretty damn insecure sometimes and I have a tendency to project emotions I’d have on to him. Like if he wanted to go out with “the boys” I’m sure I’d be super lonely and worried the whole time. (I also have trust issues
)
Well, anyways, we talked about it and he’s perfectly fine with me going out once in a while (he’d probably have a problem if I wanted to go out every weekend. Though I wouldn’t ’cause I can’t afford it and I don’t have the energy, lol) so I decided to go for it!
First my friends and I were going to go to a gay club and get our dance on. Then my friend S’ sister stole her credit card and laptop because she borrowed her space heater. Most excellent. And that, my dears, is how we ended up at the Irish pub.
When we first got there, it was a bunch of old people. It didn’t bother me, though ’cause I was high as a kite and lovin’ life. Seriously, the whole night I was so happy. Friend E kept laughing at me ’cause I kept saying over and over, I’m just so happy guys! This is the best!
While there, some pictures were taken & after the cut are the 3 that I am in. I put green hearts over my friends’ faces in case they don’t want them up on the internets. Can you see my bloodshot eyes? In the last picture I’m smiling really big & Andy goes, “Why do you have that fake smile?” to which I replied, “Oh no, that’s totally real. I was so happy!”

Man, when did I become so damn boring? I’ve been going through old posts over at Last Stop Suburbia & boy was I funny and full of interesting things to say! Well, at least more often than not.
Nowadays I just seem so boring. Nothing interesting ever happens. I don’t go out to bars anymore, I hardly ever get drunk, and hardly ever get high. Though, I thought I’d share a bit about the last time I got high because every time I think about it, it makes me smile
After getting really high with my friend M & driving around Fairfax (Virginia, USA), I decided to go to CVS to get some Peppermint Patties. I was really, really stoked to find they had them in heart shapes
and that the filling was pink!
I then went to the check out counter and lo- and- behold there was a clone of Robert Pattinson!!
I nearly, died! He seemed to be as high as I was and we just stared at each other, smiling for what seemed ages but was, in reality, probably more like 15 seconds.
It was the best night I’d had in ages
Then, just the other day, I was driving to M’s house to go for a walk in this really nice housing community, and I was sitting in traffic across the street from a bus stop, & saw yet another clone! (Or maybe the same guy???) That kid is so hot. I feel like I should make another trip to CVS to stalk him out
Spice up my life a little, LOL
On that train of thought, I’m really excited about Twilight coming out in Japan! They release these mini posters called chirashi that I collect. I’ll get 2 packs since they always have a front & a back & then, much to Andy’s chagrin I’m sure, hang them on the walls
(& now since I’ve mentioned my
of the Twilight movie, I’m going to have to say that I think the books are crap. I’ve flipped through them and they’re ripoffs of other books and are written at the level for a 6th grader [11/12 year old]. Movie’s great, though!
