Well, who am I kidding? I’ll never quit blogging. It’ll probably just stay being as sporadic as usual
Nothing new, really. I got a new phone. I was debating on renewing my contract with AT&T for ages because I generally only use about 200 of of my 450 monthly minutes. I looked at the prepaid plans but they didn’t offer mobile-to-mobile or internet plans. It would’ve ended up being more expensive. My previous phone was a Nokia N75 & while I dearly loved it, it was time for a new one. Parts of it were falling off and it was really slow like a computer you’ve had for 3+ years without any memory upgrades. It’s taking me some time to adjust to the touch screen but I’ll manage- I’ve always been very technologically inclined so it’s not too much trouble
Last Monday, I believe it was (Tuesday???), I got my hair cut! I know several months ago I talked about getting a perm but, after much debate, I decided to save that for the fall. In the summer in Virginia, it’s humid as hell. Granted not as bad as Florida but still awful. The first humid day of the year, I didn’t put in anti- frizz cream and my hair pouffed out like something awful. Nix the perm until crisp fall weather! Instead, I decided to cut some more off my fried ends. Four inches to be exact!
Check after the cut for before & after pictures:

There is definitely nothing interesting going on. I’m debating on even keeping a blog anymore. I have my (personal) LiveJournal which gets updated 1+ times a week (there’s a public one, too which is updated far less often), Facebook, Twitter, Flickr and Poupée & I feel like this is sufficient to keep people updated on my life and to do my stalking. We shall see if I keep this up or not. I would like to apologise for not keeping this up but I’m sure no one’s too bothered
Let’s see… my boss called me “whatsherface” the other day. I’ve only been working there for nearly a year. No real reason why she should remember my name!
Time for another blog post already?! I thought I’d do a little picture post about Sakura Matsuri in Washington, DC on 4 April 2009. I have to say, it was so incredibly crowded, it was barely any fun. I had to push my way to tables to see what the vendors had and waited in line for nearly an hour for lunch!
After we spent several hours there, we went to the Tidal Basin to look at the Japanese cherry blossom trees, given to the US government from the Japanese government in the 1910s. I have to say, I hate tourists. Never mind that they were taking entire branches from the trees, never mind that they were blocking entire walkways, never mind that nearly every time I tried to take a picture some Indian guy would spot me, run into my frame and take a picture, ruining mine. Needless to say, while it was nice, Andy & I plan to go back later this week sans annoying-as-fuck tourists
